Visit Baltimore is thrilled that we were named host of the ASAE Annual Meeting & Exposition in 2033 ! This is a major victory for Baltimore , not only bringing an economic impact of $ 15-18 million but also opening doors to future opportunities and conventions in our city . With 20 % of ASAE decision-makers expected to return to Baltimore for future events in the years after hosting , the long-term benefits are undeniable .
The groundwork on securing this event had many pivotal steps throughout the year . It began in 2023 with our “ Best In Show ” tradeshow booth win at the ASAE Annual Meeting in Atlanta , where we brought steamed crabs to the convention center for an authentic Baltimore-style crab feast . Hosting the ASAE Leadership Retreat also allowed us to show off what Baltimore has to offer . Once we were invited to submit a proposal to host a future annual meeting in Baltimore , our team crafted a bid that took our audience on a journey into Baltimore ’ s next decade with a futuristic “ Momentum Baltimore ” theme . It ’ s a story that Visit Baltimore can ’ t tell alone , so we combined the power of Artificial Intelligence with the visions of our local leaders to forecast how the city ’ s current momentum serves as the foundation for shaping the Baltimore of tomorrow .
This out-of-the-ordinary , forward-thinking approach allowed us to showcase the city ’ s trajectory over the next decade with some futuristic surprises , like the robot dog we used to deliver the bid to ASAE and the immersive virtual reality we created for the presentation .
