FY23 DESTINATIONS INTERNATIONAL BOARD CHAIR
Al served as Chair of the Destinations International Board of Directors in FY23 . Destinations International is the global association for destination professionals . As Chair , Al focused the boards efforts on four key areas : Membership , Expanding International Outreach , Workforce Development and Diversity , Equity and Inclusion . He also inspired the creation of an HBCU scholarship program through the Destinations International Foundation . The scholarship program surpassed its initial goal of raising $ 100,000 and to date has raised $ 300,000 for students studying hospitality at historically Black colleges and universities .
