COMPANY CULTURE

We continually strive to create a safe and healthy working environment that empowers collaboration and mindfulness .

In-Person Once Again

In September 2021 , in dual recognition of the importance of in-person meetings and the unpredictable trajectory of the COVID-19 pandemic , Visit Baltimore adopted a hybrid work schedule that welcomed employees back to the office twice a week . In January 2022 , we transitioned to three days in the office , with Mondays and Thursdays being designated in-person days for maximum collaboration . In order to maintain a safe and productive work environment , all employees are encouraged to test regularly , wash their hands , sanitize their workstations and stay home if feeling sick or traveling . Visit Baltimore follows city regulations for mask-wearing and vaccinations .

Prioritizing Inclusivity and Wellness

Ahead of the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association ( CIAA ) Men ’ s and Women ’ s Basketball Tournament , Visit Baltimore partnered with Inclusion Impact Consulting , LLC to offer free virtual diversity , equity and inclusion training to staff and local businesses . Following a similar model to those led by Janese Murray in FY21 , these training sessions covered the history of the CIAA , its importance to Baltimore and how to promote an inclusive environment for all guests .
In response to the increase in negative news and violent crime across the country , Visit Baltimore began offering reimbursements to staff who subscribe to the apps Calm or Headspace , which promote mindfulness and provide tools to combat everyday stress and anxiety .
