UPDATING THE VISIT BALTIMORE BUSINESS MODEL

Stronger Together : Rethinking Destination Partnerships

At Visit Baltimore , we recognize that our Destination Partners are key players in the work we do every day to promote Baltimore as a creative , welcoming and engaging city to visit . To advance our goal of being an industry leader that provides our partners with the exposure and resources they need to thrive , the Partnership Team conducted one-on-one conversations with partners across sectors to seek their honest feedback regarding the most valuable resources Visit Baltimore offers to them . Their feedback was instrumental in making the decision to move forward and officially launch the revamped partnership program on July 1 , 2022 .
The new model includes reduced dues along with discounted rates on advertising in Visit Baltimore publications . It also includes invitations to networking events , educational seminars and more . Additionally , minority and women-owned businesses are eligible to receive complimentary benefits for one year with reduced rates in consecutive years as part of our ongoing DEI initiatives .

Growing Corporate Partnerships

After a successful launch in FY21 , this past fiscal year saw the evolution and expansion of Visit Baltimore ’ s corporate partnership program . We continued to deliver on partnerships with Guinness Open Gate Brewery , Old Bay and Lexington Market , and activated a new partnership with Amtrak . Our corporate partners benefited from proactive planning meetings with Visit Baltimore ’ s marketing and communications team to identify brand synergies and outline a cohesive partner timeline . Cross promotional collaborations included dedicated social media posts , guides , articles , branded takeovers , merchandise giveaways and niche media pitches .
Thank you to Guinness Open Gate Brewery , Old Bay , Lexington Market and Amtrak for seeing the value in tourism , Visit Baltimore and partnership . Your support has allowed us to tell a bolder Baltimore story , and we ’ re ready to push these partnerships to new heights in the year ahead .
