WELCOMING INTERNATIONAL MEDIA ONCE AGAIN
After pausing efforts during the height of the pandemic , Visit Baltimore returned to hosting international media in-market . Thanks to our partnerships with the Maryland Office of Tourism and Capital Region USA , we welcomed journalists from France in December , Canada in January and February and the UK in May . The immersive visits , which included itineraries rich with cultural and culinary activities , resulted in several media stories , including pieces in La Vie Est Belle , Ottawa Life , Metro UK and Telegraph UK .
PARTNERING TO AMPLIFY NATIONAL STORYTELLING
In Spring 2022 , Visit Baltimore vetted a number of public relations agencies with the goal of engaging a partner to support our strategic media relations and communications priorities , as well as to help build brand equity and enhance awareness in the travel and tourism and national consumer markets . As part of the three-step process , Visit Baltimore sought feedback from a committee made up of industry partners from Baltimore ’ s arts , cultural and hospitality communities and ultimately selected New York-based travel media firm DCI as its new public relations agency partner .
