Giving Back to Our Community
This year , Visit Baltimore ’ s employees found new ways to put others first and provide for those in need . The community service committee of the Engagement Team , a group of employees who apply to help find ways to uphold our values , led the effort by planning a number of outings to local nonprofits , such as Art With A Heart , Helping Up Mission and Paul ’ s Place , using Visit Baltimore ’ s allotted “ volunteer time off .”
At Art With A Heart , whose mission is to enhance the lives of people in need through visual art , our staff spent a few hours preparing materials for classes , working on a public art community project and helping create and finish art pieces for HeARTwares , the organization ’ s social enterprise retail store .
