Those who went to Helping Up Mission prepared and served food to men and women in Baltimore who have been consumed by addiction, poverty or homelessness. Around the holidays, staff donated toys and wrapped them to give to children who did not have presents of their own.
Once the pandemic hit and stay at home orders were instituted, Visit Baltimore employees still found ways to donate time and resources from home, such as writing uplifting messages to residents of assisted living facilities, thanking front line workers for their service and donating to the Baltimore Restaurant Tip Jar to benefit restaurant workers who had been laid off.
