students who think, “not
only do I believe that I’m
going to college, but they
(teachers) believe that I’m
going to college, as well.”

working on more expansions with AVID.
Continuing specialty programs and school choice options from
elementary to middle to high school is important, according to
Autry. He said it can not be “piecemeal.”
“The worst thing you can do is have a program of study or specialty school end at fifth grade or end at eighth grade,” Autry said.
