HOW CAN YOU GET INVOLVED?
Vision Zero and You
Everyone has a role to play in traffic safety. From the choices you make while moving through Los Angeles to the conversations you have with a neighbor, we must all do our part to save lives. Organizations and individuals have actively worked toward creating safe streets and healthy communities in Los Angeles. Many more groups and residents are getting involved in this work every day to make Los Angeles a safer place to walk, bike, take transit, and drive.
But the City cannot accomplish this alone. To support a collective effort, the City of Los Angeles has engaged with a diverse group of organizations and individuals to partner on the road to Vision Zero. The American Automobile Association has been a key member of our Vision Zero Task Force and Education Subcommittee. We hear from parents, teachers, and principals about safety near schools through our Safe Routes to School program. Several communitybased organizations have united to form the Los Angeles Vision Zero Alliance, a coalition of diverse organizations and individuals working in partnership with the City of Los Angeles to realize Vision Zero. The group is helping to bring together community members with a wide range of strengths, interests, and skills to develop a united constituency for safe and equitable streets.
Be part of the solution: Join the Vision Zero Alliance, spread the word, or attend an event.
