MEET SUE FULLER
Sue is our Café Superstar
and has recently also gained
the title of Bowls
Extraordinaire, which she
co-shares with her husband
Shane. Tuesday to Saturday
Sue can be found at our Café
Fresh cooking you up a tasty
delight or enticing you with
freshly ground coffee and
cake to compliment.
Sue, we hear that you recently took time away
from Café Fresh to partake in the Aloha Bowls
Event at the Bowlo, taking out the grand finale
against our Secretary Manager and Events &
Marketing Coordinator. Tell us about the lead up
to the event and how you prepared.
I could be found most Friday evenings at the
Bowlo, training for the event of course as you
know these things should be taken seriously. I
knew we were in with a good shot as Shane had
been giving me tips in the lead up to the day. The
cherry on the top was the nail biting grand final
which we come away with a win.
What is your idea of relaxing?
Spending time with family and friends, especially
the grandkids. I also enjoy a social drink at the
Bowlo on a Friday evening.
We all know you’re handy in the kitchen. What do
you consider your speciality?
I like to cook the lot, but I do love our steak
sandwiches and cooking for our regulars to suit
their dietary requirements.
Last question, but most importantly, what is your
favourite beverage?
Depending on the time of the day I love a coffee
and when its 5pm (somewhere in the world) I
enjoy either a glass of Sav Blanc or a Johnnie
Walker Red Label Scotch and Dry.
Sue and Shane are off to the Regional Finals for
the Aloha Event on the 3rd of December, 2016.
On behalf of the Kempsey Macleay RSL club
we wish them well and hope they take it out. If
they do, they’ll be off on an expenses paid trip to
Hawaii!
