Vision Kiteboarding Magazine Issue Three | Page 41

The first thing I wanted to do was to make a wave kickers only video, this unfortunately barely exists in kiteboarding so it only felt right to start there. Autofocus had a banger section in DR Encuentro(‘ 04?), I was blown away as a kid and this was the first video I saw where I thought, now that makes sense!
The second thing I wanted to do this year was to give features a go. I’ ve done it before, but not to an extend where I would put all my focus on it. After filming the episode I went back to Hood River and stayed there another month to really get decent at park riding, especially progressing on the rails.
The third thing I wanted to have was my overall stoke back on airtricks. I pretty much ignored all my airtricks so I would get hungry to do them again by the time we would film in Brazil. I wanted to adapt my riding, get a bigger trick list, do more switch, more grabs, just do the tricks I want to do that’ s it, simple plan actually.
With ups and downs we succeeded, releasing the 3rd episode now in December focussed on airtricks. The episode are online on www. mowglisjungle. com and will be used by SES on their Demo 4K broadcasting channels and re released on Redbull. tv channel
Besides Sam Van Olmen as director we had Philip Tack as 2nd Cameramen( water housing) in Cabarete and photographer. And in Brazil we had Marian Hund who is an amazing drone operator sponsored by Yuneec Drones.
Next year we hope to excel this season, we’ re having 2 main video project idea’ s now in mind and currently working it out.
Big thank you to everybody who was involved in the project, it’ s been quite an experience, can’ t wait for what the future brings.
