Macleay Valley Rangers Football Club
2017 welcomes our 2nd year in partnership with the Kempsey Macleay RSL Club / Bowling Club, growing into a very successful partnership. We feel at home and welcomed by all the staff, thank you. The Juniors are loving the collaboration with Tabatinga and our Junior sign ups are under way with a growth in numbers to new levels which is fantastic. Our Seniors are looking to improve on last years performance on the field, with an injection of some of our very talented Juniors making their impression on the Senior ranks. We are looking forward to the coming season with the Club looking stronger than ever. Kempsey Cannonballs Rugby Union Club
I would like to begin by thanking our new sponsors Kempsey Macleay RSL Club and Bowling Club – we look forward to a great year ahead and a long term relationship! The 2017 season is looking promising after last year’ s efforts with four grades competing in the major semi’ s and our 1st Grade team making the Grand Final. We are proud to announce this year we have an Under 18’ s team which we are very excited about and look forward to maintaining a team in this division.
One of the key advantages of the Cannonballs is our ground at Crescent Head. As a result, we have managed to score several elite country events in 2017 including the Rugby 7’ s held in March, and the Under 14’ s and Under 15’ s Country Championship held in early May. We are very proud and excited for these events to be played on our home ground. A big thank you to our wonderful volunteers and supporters who work tirelessly at the ground and in fundraising to keep our grounds at a superior level – this could not be achieved without you. A special thanks to Laurie Clay for his time and efforts.
