“ Functions and practical applications” is an activity that combines theoretical mathematics with real life, showing how relevant the science of numbers is in understanding and modelling the world around us.
Students from the three international teams collaborated to create problems inspired by everyday situations, which they analysed, mathematically modelled and graphically represented using the GeoGebra application. The activity gave them the opportunity to explore the concrete applicability of functions and discover the hidden beauty of mathematics. In addition to the applied part, some graphical representations became a source of artistic inspiration: students used the obtained graphs to create flowers and geometric compositions in GeoGebra, thus highlighting the aesthetic dimension of mathematics. The final product is an ebook: https:// heyzine. com / flipbook / e32fb2ab48. html.
As part of the STEM Discovery Campaign, the month of April was dedicated to the current and essential theme of the“ Ecological Footprint”. Students learned what this indicator represents and explored the ways in which each of us can contribute to reducing our impact on the environment. Each participant calculated their personal ecological footprint, analysed their daily habits and proposed sustainable solutions, presented in various forms: videos, posters and educational leaflets. The most impressive achievement was the“ Green City” model, which reflects the vision of a harmonious and naturefriendly community. This activity integrated STEM education with civic and ecological responsibility, contributing to the formation of a sense of responsibility towards the planet. At the final conference, all teams proudly presented the activities carried out and the results obtained: https:// youtu. be / l- kc0aBr5S4? si = uCL8JRHDWkFDi29U.
The“ Resilient Education” study aimed to help students better understand and properly manage difficult situations: stress, failure, academic pressure, sudden changes( conflicts, pandemics, etc.). Thus, students had the opportunity to get to know themselves better. They asked questions, conducted opinion polls. Then they analysed and commented on the answers in Canva http:// bit. ly / 4n8vYsB. They created the resilient student profile in a collaborative Canva: http:// bit. ly / 3G1bx08. Critical thinking, empathy, adaptability, teamwork, creativity were thus encouraged in this project.
