Moreover, as tutor of a trainee sent by“ Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore” of Piacenza, Faculty of Education Sciences, Maria Cristina Cella asked her to follow some steps of the eTwinning project, by planning a Tinkering activity concerning peace messages. The trainee made a presentation in Canva about the eTwinning experience, which was then disseminated to the University.
At national level, the participation in the project of a colleague from Sicily, allowed us to establish North-South connections, also for future collaborations” adds the teacher.
We also had unexpected international support. During the school year, inside the Erasmus activities, we hosted the expert Cornelia Melcu, an Erasmus / eTwinning ambassador, also ESERO expert from Romania, who told the children about her experiences with the Space Agency, giving them very interesting information.
Once again, eTwinning proved to be a vehicle for even unforeseen connections, going beyond the objectives of the project itself.
What challenges did you face? Working with pre-school children is not always easy, nor is proposing activities, which fit perfectly into the curriculum, but which involve a slightly broader working perspective. Getting to know children who live far away, who speak a different language could be an obstacle for children of this age. This is never the case! Simple words in English were the vehicle of
