Alina Popov is a teacher of English in Iasi , Romania . She is a National Geographic Certified Educator , and she has been involved in Erasmus + projects since 2014 . The importance of eTwinning projects Through eTwinning projects , we teach pupils to apply knowledge , to think horizontally , and to develop transversal skills - skills such as appreciating and accepting the diversity of ideas and people , cooperating with others , embracing change and the resilience needed to bounce back from failure . We try to engage students in a process of intentional reflection - researching , writing , expressing , and connecting intellectually and emotionally simultaneously with what they are doing .
I believe the future depends on our ability to cooperate not only within our institutions , regions and cities , but also beyond our walls and borders , both nationally and globally . Our global students will only be able to succeed in life if they are able to cooperate and if they are able to see the possibilities of understanding and working together with people who have different cultures and ways of life .
