The project founders are Iva Naranđa from Croatia and Bilge Varel from Türkiye . The project “ Green Computing for Greener Earth ” lasted the whole school year 2022 / 2023 . With this project we want to introduce our students to Green Computing as a major leap in reduce environmental pollution and the impacts of climate change . We want our students to understand that Sustainable Development is connected to Green Computing . Green computing is an important aspect of discussions involving environmental protection , green energy , climate change and sustainable development and the common goal is to practise and achieve eco-friendly deployment and use of Information and Communication Technologies in the society .
Furthermore , Green Computing is a driver of Sustainable Development because its practices and principles focus on a cleaner , safer and sustainable environment that promotes the wellbeing of mankind and our planet . Apart from introducing the main topic of the project , this project provides our students with the development of English language skills and efficient use of technology for collaboration between partner schools .
