Visibility of eTwinning Projects Group July 2023 Newsletter
We were 38 teachers-partners in this project , working in 15 schools or kindergartens in 4 countries ( Romania – founding country : 31 members , Italy – co-founder : 4 members , Poland : 2 members and Georgia : 1 member ), but most importantly , we had the active involvement of all the pupils and the support of their parents .
The activities carried out in this project were correlated to the national curriculum , adapted to the specifics of preschool , primary and secondary school and also special education schools , and the work schedule was carried out by planning and implementing a curriculum adapted and appropriate to the requirements of the project , as well as training practices based on the individual knowledge of children and knowledge of the needs and community values .
We then uploaded presentations of countries , cities , school / kindergartens and classes / groups to TwinSpace Pages and Padlets and watched what the partners posted with the children . The next step in our project was to consolidate this information with a collection of 18 digital games created by the partners about Europe and eTwinning and then applying the games with students . They had a wide variety of games such as : Find the matching flags , Find your country on the map !, Name the countries , Learn about Flags or many Puzzles .
We also prepared a collaborative map of Europe where each partner or set of partners was assigned a country from the European Union + Georgia ( in total 28 maps ) to colour in the outline of the map the flag of the respective country . The children loved participating in this part of the project that was similar to solving a giant map puzzle .
The activities in this project were designed for a short period of time and they succeeded in logical order and motivated the students ’ participation .
We began by celebrating with students Europe Day and eTwinning Day on May 9 th 2023 and presenting them on the Facebook group , TwinSpace and in working Padlets . The same day the teachers participated in online meetings , onsite or eTwinning webinars together with other project partners .
