The progression from exploring the school garden to engaging with public green spaces illustrates how learning can extend beyond the classroom to influence families, local communities, and public awareness. In this sense, The Meadow Is a Rainbow exemplifies how outdoor learning can generate meaningful educational experiences while fostering civic engagement and environmental responsibility.
The metaphor that emerged from the experience aptly captures its legacy: the seed became a community plant. What began as a collaborative learning activity between universities, a preschool, and international student teachers gradually developed into a shared educational and civic commitment, illustrating how small pedagogical initiatives can grow into sustainable networks of collaboration involving schools, universities, families, and local communities. This evolution reflects the broader philosophy of eTwinning, where educational innovation is conceived not only as an exchange between institutions but also as a means of cultivating active citizenship, environmental responsibility, and lasting partnerships across local and international contexts.
