Collaborate, Communicate, Create: Our eTwinning Journey with CCAB and My Future with AI Projects by Kristina Cernei
Modern education requires a shift from traditional, passive learning paradigms toward dynamic, interconnected, and digitally literate frameworks. As an educator dedicated to continuous professional growth, I always strive to embrace new projects and fresh ideas that enrich the educational experience for my students.
This academic year, my teaching journey was defined by two highly collaborative eTwinning initiatives: CCAB and My Future with AI. Bound together under the overarching theme " Collaborate, Communicate, Create," these projects served as powerful vehicles for student empowerment, critical thinking, and advanced digital literacy.
The backbone of any successful eTwinning project is its organizational infrastructure. When multiple schools across different countries collaborate, the risk of fragmentation, misaligned goals, and drifting timelines increases exponentially. To counteract these challenges, our
pedagogical framework prioritized constant communication as a nonnegotiable element of daily operations.
The primary ecosystem for this structured interaction was the TwinSpace platform, which acted as our digital headquarters, laboratory, and community center. To achieve this, we established two distinct streams of updates: teacher bulletins which served as the administrative core of the projects and students bulletins on TwinSpace which provided a transparent space where pupils received direct updates, celebratory shout-outs, and peer feedback.
In project-based learning, creativity thrives best within a clear structure. Without rigid parameters, complex tasks can easily stall. Throughout both CCAB and My Future with AI, the systematic deployment of task reminders was essential. These reminders were embedded directly into the TwinSpace workflow, acting as visual and textual signposts for upcoming milestones. We explicitly taught students that deadlines are not arbitrary constraints, but rather a mutual agreement of respect among international partners.
