Visibility of eTwinning Projects Group July 2026 Newsletter of collaborative learning, and the importance of building lasting partnerships within the eTwinning community.
In the spring of 2026, Kaunas Kindergarten Pelėdžiukas( Lithuania) joined the international eTwinning project European Easter Adventures. The project was initiated and founded by Ionela Camelia Lazea from Grădinița cu Program Prelungit Nr. 3 Bistrița in Romania and cofounded by Sonata Jonauskienė from Kaunas Kindergarten Pelėdžiukas in Lithuania. Together, they brought educators from seven European countries into a collaborative partnership that enabled children to explore Europe ' s rich cultural diversity through Easter traditions.
This was the first international eTwinning project in which teachers from Kaunas Kindergarten Pelėdžiukas participated not only as partners, but also as project creators and coordinators. Beyond establishing professional connections with educators across Europe, the partnership enabled teachers to co-design meaningful learning experiences that fostered children ' s cognitive, creative, digital, and social competences.
The project brought together 27 teachers from Romania, Lithuania, Greece, Estonia, Poland, Italy, and Spain http:// u. osmfr. org / m / 1375007 /, along with preschool and primary school children. Its main goal was to introduce young learners to the Easter traditions of different European countries while deepening their understanding of the celebration ' s cultural and religious significance. At the same time, the project fostered creativity and strengthened communication, collaboration, and digital competences through shared learning experiences.
The project quickly became an integral part of everyday educational practice at Kaunas Kindergarten Pelėdžiukas. By combining eTwinning collaboration, STEAM education, physical activities, and projectbased learning, it offered children engaging, hands-on experiences that nurtured creativity, communication, collaboration, and digital competences.
The project was strongly supported by the school ' s headteacher, Ramunė Džiaugienė, who actively encourages teachers to participate in national and international initiatives and promotes innovative, project-based approaches that enrich children ' s learning experiences.
