In my paintings i like to investigate and develop surfaces . I like to create paintings that have clear 3 dimensional spaces , but in which the viewer can lose themselves in the small details which move their focus from the big picture to the the material quality of the work . I want to make pieces that invite the viewer to explore any part of the painting that seems interesting ( I always find it very cool when someone discovers some new aspect of one of my works that i hadn ’ t noticed before ). Basically i like to make things that make people ask ,
“ I wonder how this was made ?”
