My chair is my pulpit!

That momentum continues to grow as more and women join Chrsitian Girls/Women Rock on Facebook and dial in to the The Gathering Pray Line on Thursday mornings.

On April 24th of this year, Takenya invited women from all walks of life to the Nothing Wasted Conference held in Forestville, MD. During this powerful event Takenya told women, "Not one thing that you've been through won't be used by God for His glory! Sex abuse, drug use, domestic abuse, depression, habits. It's all for the glory of God!"

Takenya has learned this lesson first hand. In 2003 she was diagnosed with Systemic Lupus. "It was so painful, I felt like God didn't love me anymore,"

she says. Years later at a doctor visit, she was told they couldn't find any traces of Lupus in her system. Halelejuah! But, then they diagnosed her with Fibromyalgia. Takenya was heatbroken. "There are days when I'm in so much pain, I can't get out of bed," she says. But she fights to be healthy everyday, pushing herself to get up, exercise and eat right. She has come off all her medication and steriods and now wants to bring more awareness to this disease.

"It's not a disease that you can see.

You look okay, but inside you're struggling."

Takenya Millhouse is truly a woman on fire for Christ! She reminds us that "Even if you're a victim, you can feel like a victor!"
