8. Rinse your hair immediately after you get out of the water.

Don't lay around and

You may think a swim cap is

old school, but it will not

only protect your hair from

the sun and chlorine, it will keep your hair dry and eliminate the

need to wash it all together! More time to relax!

9. Wear a protective style.

Protectve styles such

cornrows, braids, and

sew in's do just

what the name implies.

They protect the hair.

Sporting these styles allows you to enjoy the water without worrying about your hair! Now don't get too care-free. You still have to wash your hair after swimming to get rid of the salt and chemicals, but not having to go through the process of styling is mighty nice!

10. Don't let your hair ruin your summer fun.

Ok, so this isn't a tip to rescue your hair, but it is a tip to rescue you! Don't let your hair keep you from doing the things you enjoy this summer. I know you want your hair to look cute at all times, but don't skip a dip in the pool or a trip to the beach for the sake of "not messing up your hair." Life (and summer) is too short to let the fun times pass you by. Live it up!
