February, a month of love and celebration!
February is a month of love and celebration in the Whitehead household. We kick off the month by celebrating my son Isaiah's birthday on the 13th. He was an early Valentine's Day gift 12 years ago. Then my husband Norris breaks out the Whitman's sampler in the bright red heart shaped box and a mushy (or funny) card addressed to Bookie (that's me)! If you're wondering why I don't get flowers, it's because I made it perfectly clear years ago that I really don't like flowers. They're pretty for a few days and then they start to whither and drop pedals all over my kitchen counter. Now a flower that I can plant in my yard is whole another story. I'll take one of those any day! Now where was I? Oh yes. The next day of celebration is the 23rd which is my birthday. I'll be 41 years young this year. My husband threw me a fantastic 40th birthday party at Loca Luna last year. We stayed out all night like teenagers, but I sure didn't feel like one the next day. This year I just want a nice dinner out with the whole family. February 23rd also marks the day my first book Whose Am I hit the Amazon website.. What an exciting moment! I stil remember going to the Amzon website and seeing it for the first time. I am so thankful for every blessing that February brings. I wish you a month full of love and celebration!
