carpal tunnel syndrome. The symptoms of chronic fatigue syndrome.

I have emotional issues, such as depression, social ineptness,

I have mental issues, such as PTSD. Dissociative traits. Some cognitive learning issues.

Alcyan: Describe a normal day you spend in this virtual reality

Fidget: A normal day now is different than a normal day when I first started.

When I first started, I spent time ingesting information on things worked so that I could learn the basic tools of the virtual world I'm in. Each virtual world has it's patterns -- things you have to do to move, express, create.

Then I spend time refining my skills using the virtual world. And illustrating to others how I achieve my goals, because quite frankly, humans learn by illustration and imitation -- no matter what world they are in (virtual or physical).

I spend some time creating things -- "building" in the vernacular of SL. Objects, scripting, texturing.

I spend some time creating things -- for personal expression. Writing, playing with graphics, presentations.

I spend some time practicing my social skills with people all over the world.

Alcyan: Are you an active member of the Virtual Ability community?

Fidget: Yes. I create presentations for my peers in the Virtual Ability community.

I actively create time to listen to what my peers share. It is a social skill needed to be able to communicate, encourage, and nurture both 'self' and 'others.

I participate in group events at VAI, both as a facilitator and as a participant.

I speak up -- or write up, depending on how you perceive it.

Alcyan: To whom Virtual Ability addresses to?

Fidget: Virtual Ability addresses to everyone. It is a group that educates.

It is comprised of capability diverse humans who also 'present' as avatars (the form and shape taken in SL).

They are a physical world organization that operates both in the virtual world and physical world.

If you are 'disabled', or are an ally of, friend of, caregiver for or a person with disabilities and/or chronic illness, Virtual Ability serves you.
