  Hide and Seek With Jealousy BY AARON LYMAN  L there was a knock on the door, a knock that would change everything. Alex slowly approached the door, fidgeting with the locks. There she was, the girl from next door. It was Jade. “H-hello.” Alex stuttered helplessly. She answered his greeting with a smile. “Hi there! I just recently moved in next door!” she responded. Alex nodded towards the moving trucks, smiling but not saying a word. Jade followed his gaze. “Yep! That’s all for me believe it or not! Well, I don’t want to keep you. My main reason for coming over was to introduce myself because it looks like we’re neighbors. Also, I grabbed your mail by mistake and figured I’d just go ahead and drop it off!” Alex nodded, “Thanks. I appreciate it. You’re already better than my old neighbor, that old hermit wouldn’t ever talk to me. To him, I would swear I wasn’t even here.” Jade laughed in response. “Well, like I said I don’t want to keep you! Have a good day!” Alex nodded with a slow closing of the door. She’s beautiful, he thought to himself. He pressed his back against the door, slowly sliding to the floor, collecting his thoughts. I need to know more about this girl. What she likes to eat, what her favorite band or song is. There’s so much I could learn. This is what I have been adies and gentlemen, welcome to the show. I bring with me tonight a story meant to terrify, disgust and intrigue. I will warn you by the end of this story that you may not agree with nor like our protagonist. However, think very deeply about the actions he takes for his goal and let your imagination wander on like a leaf in the wind. Ask questions such as, “Would I have done the same thi
