The Nightmare BY ELIZA LIVENSPARGER This story starts out as an ordinary day. There is a girl named Alejandra, who is getting ready for her daily classes. Her crush comes up to her and starts talking to her. Alejandra is so nervous; she has no idea what to talk about. So, her crush asks her to the Fall Dance that is on Halloween night. So let’s see what happens to Alejandra. **************************** Ale!! Ale, good morning! Today is Friday can you believe it? Tomorrow is the big Fall Dance, will you be coming to the dance?” said Courtney excitingly. “I'm not sure Courtney. For one thing, I have a huge test in history on Monday that I need to study for. Second of all, I don't have a date like you, Samantha, or even Charity,” Alejandra said sadly. “Hey, it's okay, Ale. You don't really need a date to the Fall Dance. I mean, it's just one dance, and plus, there will be other dances that will come up,” Courtney said happily. “You know what Courtney, your right. Who needs a date to a dance, and you know what, I'm going to the dance with my friends,” said Alejandra happily. “Good for you ale!” said Courtney. “Hey Courtney, hi Alejandra,” said Sean. “Hey, Sean. He… hey Sean,” Alejandra said nervously. “Courtney, may I talk to Alejandra alone for a bit?” Sean asked. “Um, sure. I gotta get going to class anyway. See you soon Ale. Are you busy this weekend?” Sean asked curiously. “What do you mean?” said Alejandra, confused. “I mean like, do you have any plans like are you going somewhere with your family or do you have a date tomorrow or something like that?” Sean said. “Oh. Well, just studying for my big history test that is on Monday and babysitting my siblings but that's about it,” said Alejandra. “Well, I was kind of wondering if you would like to go to the Fall Dance tomorrow night with me?” asked Sean. “Me??” Alejandra said. “Yes Ale. Would you like to go on a date with me?” Sean asked. “I... I... I'd love to be your date to the dance,” Alejandra said happily. “Great, then it's a date and I will pick you up at 6:30pm because the dance is at 7pm and you live a half hour from the school.” “Sounds wonderful,” said Alejandra. The next day, Alejandra called Courtney, Charity, Faith, and Michaela to tell them about her date with Sean. They were so happy for her that they all went out shopping for Halloween costumes together. When they got back from being downtown, it was about 5pm. They had to get home so they can get around and be ready for their dates. After about an hour of prepping for their dates, everyone was down at the
