WHITE LIES BY AZIA LAYMAN They say, Cover the part of yourself That you don't like in black So I showered myself in it, and painted you with white lies. I became obsessed By how prefect you were to me Your shadowless contours, and your pearly white grin. Then your trap snapped My limbs hung from your mouth My heart hung on a string You hid me, Further and further Into the void. I watched, Waited, Hoped your white light Might save me But, you began to unravel.
