BY HALEY PARSONS I was walking home one day, When I heard a voice somewhere say “Life can be pleasant; life can be fair Why do you take this path home and to anywhere?” I stopped in my tracks and looked at the stone. It was crumbled up as I walked all alone. The sky was empty with purplish haze, The whole town’s sidewalk a maze. “I take this path ‘cause it’s easy,” I thought. “There’s no point o’er thinking, It takes me to where I ought. It ta
