The Island Golf Course
The Atchafalaya at Idlewild | PATTERSON This scenic par-72 Robert von Hagge design located deep in Cajun country features dramatic elevation changes, playing to 7,533 yards with views of the Atchafalaya Basin. The course includes five lakes, 10 native wetland areas, and a common green shared by hole Nos. 9 and 18. This public course offers five sets of tees and an on-site RV park.
Bayou Oaks at City Park- South Course * | NEW ORLEANS Originally opened in 1902, the City Park Complex has been modified and renovated over the years with Rees Jones and Greg Muirhead completing the latest restoration on the public, par-72 course in 2017. Nestled on 250 acres amid natural lagoons and historic oak trees, this 7,302-yard tract offers seven teeing options.
Bayou Oaks at City Park- South Course
Golf Course at Audubon Park * | NEW ORLEANS Visit one of the state’ s oldest golf courses, established in 1898. While this par-62, 4,220-yard course is not a test from the tips, it has been ranked among Golf Digest’ s“ Best Places to Play”. Located on the streetcar line on historic St. Charles Avenue in uptown New Orleans, the course is nestled amid century-old oak trees draped in Spanish moss along four lagoons.
The Island Golf Course * | PLAQUEMINE Located 14 miles from Baton Rouge, this semi-private championship course designed by Mike Young challenges with water hazards on 17 of 18 holes. Mapped over 160 acres, the 7,010-yard, par-72 course offers five teeing areas. The front nine holes play clockwise while the back nine holes play counterclockwise.
LaTour Golf Club * | MATHEWS A public course designed by PGA TOUR champion David Toms, this 7,232-yard, par-72 layout sits on 597 acres of rolling grasslands on the banks of Bayou Lafourche. It’ s known for its smooth greens, with wind often adding another challenge throughout the course. Four sets of tees make the layout enjoyable for golfers of varying skill levels.
Carter Plantation * | SPRINGFIELD Located east of Baton Rouge, this par-72 course is the first signature design by PGA TOUR champion and Louisiana native David Toms. The 7,104-yard course is mapped out through live oak trees, upland pine forests, and cypress wetlands with 86 bunkers and water hazards on 11 holes. The course is an Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary.
English Turn Golf & Country Club | NEW ORLEANS This semi-private Jack Nicklaus Signature Design was built in 1988 to host PGA TOUR events. The par-72 course features expansive fairways, undulating greens, generous bunkering, and an island green on the par-5 15th hole. Water hazards are present on 17 of 18 holes on this 7,078-yard layout, which offers four teeing areas.
TPC Louisiana * | AVONDALE Home of the PGA TOUR’ s Zurich Classic, this 7,425-yard Pete Dye design is located 15 minutes from New Orleans’ French Quarter. The par-72 championship course features numerous water hazards, five sets of tees, and is known for its firm greens and exceptional course conditions.
The Wetlands Golf Course * | LAFAYETTE Opened in 2006 and designed by Frank Burandt, formerly of the Jack Nicklaus Design Group, this 7,293-yard, par-72 course offers wide fairways, subtle rolling terrain, and smooth TifDwarf greens. Former host of the LPGA’ s Epson Tour, the public course features a double green on hole Nos. 9 and 18, with five teeing areas.

Farm D’ Allie Golf Club * | CARENCRO Designed by Jeffery Blume and opened in 2000, this Lafayette-area course was crafted on 215 acres in the bottomland of Beau Basin, once farmland in the Mississippi River bed. Playing up to 6,915 yards, this par-72 course boasts the highest elevation point in Lafayette Parish at 55 feet and is known locally as“ The Farm.”
