he Dominion Energy Charity Classic will make its 10th and final appearance at The Country Club of Virginia’ s James River Course in October,
potentially ending a five-decade run of professional golf in Virginia.
In 2023, both Dominion Energy and CCV chose to end their relationship with the PGA Tour Champions playoff event, leaving the status of the championship in limbo as it sought title sponsors to keep the event in
the Richmond area beyond 2025. A viable sponsorship model( nor a host site) hasn’ t been secured for 2026 as of press time.
