Mill Resort to claim their 10th win in 11 years in the series . … The Carolinas won the Mid-Atlantic Girls ’ Challenge over a team of players from the VSGA and Maryland State Golf Association 8-4 at Orchard Creek . … The father-son combo of Ray and Talon Dingledine posted a 15-under-par 57 to win the 5th VSGA Parent-Child Championship , held in August at Spring Creek Golf Club . The Dingledines tied with the fatherson duo of David and Joey Jordan but won thanks to posting a better score on the back nine . Both Jordans had 25-foot eagle putts on their final hole but neither could convert for the win . … The Carolinas won six of eight singles matches to secure a 9-7 win in the 40th Virginias-Carolinas Junior Boys ’ matches at River Landing in Wallace , N . C . Xander Goboy was the lone Virginias player to go 3-0 on the weekend .
