Top of the Rock Top of the Rock Golf Course became the first par-3 course featured in a PGA Tour-sanctioned event . The nine-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature Course perches at the highest elevation in Taney County overlooking Table Rock Lake and the Ozark Mountains and includes waterfalls , meandering creeks and bass-filled ponds . The course includes Arnie ’ s Barn , a 150-year-old barn that was relocated from Arnold Palmer ’ s backyard in Latrobe , Pa ., with a restaurant and displays of historic memorabilia and photos spanning Palmer ’ s career .
Following your golf experience at Top of the Rock , put your clubs in the bag and explore Lost Canyon Cave and Nature Trail — a 2.5-mile self-guided journey by golf cart through a stunning rock formation . You can even wet your whistle at the Bat Bar inside a cave .
Payne ’ s Valley And while Payne ’ s Valley offers risk-reward par-5s on hole Nos . 4 and 18 , and potentially drivable par-4s on hole Nos . 3 and 12 , the course features a set of “ Tiger Tees ” designed to challenge the drives of professionals and better amateur players .
Payne ’ s Valley also boasts a unique 19th-hole feature known as “ The Big Rock at Payne ’ s Valley ,” which allows golfers to settle any final bets on a memorable par-3 island hole . That extra hole plays into a 200-foot cliffside green framed by a limestone rock face complete with a roaring waterfall and surrounding stream .
