every two years, but I have a process for that.
It takes me a while to get used to something,
so maybe that’s part of it. Once I get used
to it, unless it’s not right for me, I’m going
to stick with it. It’s proven. It works. I want
something that I know will work in the most
difficult of situations. I don’t like messing
with things that work. That’s the way I’ve
always been. Not just equipment but with my
coaches, my sponsors, with everything. If it’s
the right fit at one point, there no reason to
think it won’t be the right fit down the road.
When it comes to equipment, you’d be naïve
to think that there isn’t something out there
that can maybe make you better. That’s just
the way technology works.
your longevity. Do you think people
underestimated you?
ZJ: It’s hard to estimate an unknown. I’m not
saying I was completely unknown in ’07, but
I certainly wasn’t one of the guys everybody
was picking to win the golf tournament.
Since that point, I don’t have bulletin board
material where I’m out to prove others
