VSGA JUNIOR BOYS ’ GOLFER OF THE YEAR

Kelly Chinn

HOME CLUB : Army Navy Country Club
PERSONAL HIGHLIGHT : My highlight of the year was the final seven holes of the PING Invitational to win the tournament and eventually earn the Rolex Player of the Year award . To be able to birdie six of my last seven holes to close out the season was really special to me and will be a moment I will never forget .
BEST CLUB IN YOUR BAG : I don ’ t have one club that I like more than others , but I would say I love to hit irons . I think my ball striking is one of my strengths and I really enjoy practicing and shaping different shots with my irons .
BEST COURSES YOU ’ VE PLAYED : Baltusrol GC , Sage Valley CC , and Liberty National GC . They all hosted great events and were in incredible condition when I played .
BIGGEST GOAL FOR 2021 : My No . 1 goal for next year is to continue to improve and win at the next level . I really want to win a major amateur event and prove that I will be able to compete with all the top college players .
