12th MAPGA / VSGA JUNIOR FOUR- BALL CHAMPIONSHIP Winners: Noah and Liam Maclauchlan Brothers from Mosely, the Maclauchlans posted rounds of 62 and 65 for an aggregate total of 15-under-par 127 to run away with the title at Richmond Country Club. The winning score was the lowest in tournament history, one better than Xander Goboy and Trey Marrion’ s winning score in 2024. The Maclauchlans finished seven shots clear of runners-up Elijah Felty and Talon Dingledine. The Maclauchlans posted two bogey-free rounds and used a three-birdie run to open the second round to pull away from the field.
COMING UP … 60th VSGA FOUR-BALL CHAMPIONSHIP( May 19-20): Williamsburg Golf Club makes its debut as host of this championship, which always provides fireworks. The last five championships have been decided by one stroke.
9th VSGA WOMEN’ S FOUR-BALL CHAMPIONSHIP( June 7-8): Fawn Lake Country Club hosts for the third time. In 2022, twin sisters Jessica and Sarah Spicer won the open division in a playoff at the Spotsylvania club.
39th VSGA SENIOR STROKE PLAY CHAMPIONSHIP( June 16-17): Fredericksburg Country Club, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary, will host. FCC member Jon Hurst won this championship in 2021.
