Learn How to Properly Contact Collegiate Coaches
AS A DIVISION I HEAD GOLF COACH FOR GEORGE MASON UNIVERSITY , I get about a dozen emails every day from aspiring junior golfers , their coaches or recruiting services . There are many rules and regulations set forth by the NCAA that influence how recruitment works . For example , June 15 is the day when the NCAA will begin allowing coaches to directly communicate with class of 2025 prospects .
Unfortunately , most programs like ours do not have a full-time assistant coach who is exclusively dedicated to recruiting . Because of challenges like the NCAA recruiting calendar , time management , and the sheer volume of emails , it ’ s important for a prospective junior golfer to know the key elements to include in a correspondence when soliciting a college golf coach .
The first question most junior golfers or parents have : “ Should I reach out to college coaches ?” Yes , absolutely . There are so many junior
