The par-5 2nd hole at Keswick Golf Club
will challenge the Commonwealth's top
amateurs in June.
On the men’s side, recently minted
mid-amateur Trey Smith advanced
through a tough field to break a six-
year run of college players winning the
Schwarszchild Brothers Trophy. On the
women’s side, the drama surrounded
whether or not defending champion
Lauren Greenlief could add her name to
the list of back-to-back winners. After
claiming medalist honors, Greenlief won
four matches for her second Women’s
Am title, jumpstarting her spectacu-
lar summer that included quarterfinal
appearances in the U.S. Women’s Ama-
teur and U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur.
What to expect in 2019? A quick
primer follows.
