and Tuesday, this school is unique in that
it’s limited to couples, and just three at
that. It’s headed up by one of Virginia’s best
instructors, Barry Ryder, who is assisted
by Mark Fry, the head professional at the
resort’s Cascades Course, resulting in a
3:1 student-teacher ratio. The half-day
school, which runs from 8:30 a.m.-12 p.m.,
starts with video analysis of the full swing
before short-game instruction on bunker
play, chipping, pitching and putting. In
the afternoon, the men typically play a
