Once John hits his shot onto the putting green, Patrick then strikes his putt too firmly and it rolls off the green and into the rough. He decides to chip the ball for his next stroke, and chooses to place the flagstick back in the hole. Are the actions of both players permitted? a. Yes b. No 1.
