FORE THE LADIES HITS RICHMOND As Senior Manager of U . S . Open Fan Engagement for the USGA , Abby Liebenthal plays an important role in drawing fans to the nation ’ s most prestigious golf championship . But she also serves another important role as founder of the non-profit group Fore The Ladies .
The intent of the organization is simple : Introduce more women to the game . In its mission statement , Fore The Ladies writes that “ we strive to bring women together to play , watch and participate in everything golf has to offer . We hope to make golf more accessible and approachable , while removing the expected barriers such as cost , intimidation and access .”
One of the ways FTL tries to accomplish those goals is through introduction-to-golf clinics , one of which will take place at Henrico ’ s Belmont Golf Course on Saturday , April 23 from 3-5 p . m . The $ 50 entry fee includes

BRENNAN JOINS HOGAN WATCH LIST Wake Forest ’ s Michael Brennan , past champion of both the VSGA Amateur and

Just a sophomore , Michael Brennan has won four individual titles in his Wake Forest career . By winning the Collegiate Showcase in February , he earned a spot in the PGA Tour ' s Genesis Invitational .
VSGA Junior Match Play championships , is one of 30 players on the watch list for the 2022 Ben Hogan Award . The award honors the top collegiate golfer based on all college , amateur and professional events over the last 12 months .
Brennan is one of two Demon Deacons on the watch list , joining Alex Fitzpatrick .
