6 . Nicholas Crawford Roanoke / Northside HS Crawford , who will attend Emory & Henry College , earned the Mike Wise Award , given to a top applicant from the Roanoke area . Crawford is heavily involved in First Tee – Roanoke Valley and played in the PURE Insurance Championship at Pebble Beach at age 16 . He worked as a cart boy and starter at VSGA member club Hanging Rock Golf Club , where his father also works as a starter .
7 . Lilly Hall - Yorktown / Homeschooled Hall , who will play at Randolph-Macon College , earned the first VSGA Military Scholarship . Along with playing , she volunteered at U . S . Kids Golf events , helping with tournament setup and course management . She was also a member of the Poquoson Library Teen Advisory Board .
