GARMIN Approach Z82 Laser Rangefinder
How cool is this: As you look through the eyepiece of Garmin Golf’s
Approach Z82 laser rangefinder, you see—overlaying the precise shot
distance—full-color 2-D CourseView mapping and more. According
to Dan Bartel, Garmin’s Vice President of Global Consumer Sales,
features “include wind speed and direction displays, enhanced ranging
performance, coupled with a new and improved viewfinder to provide a
sharper, more comfortable viewing experience.” Plus, vibration feedback
and the refined laser ranging performance makes visually locking onto
the flag even easier: Once the lens finds the pin, the map automatically
zooms in to the green, letting you know the flagstick position relative to the
front and back of the green. The Approach Z82 also includes a tournament
mode setting that disables the PinPointer and PlaysLike distance features, as
those features are not allowed during sanctioned tournaments or handicap
calculation rounds. $600, garmin.com
ECCO Waterproof S-Three Hybrid Shoe
ECCO’s waterproof S-Three hybrid shoe is super comfortable. The
polyurethane midsole provides support in three zones—that accounts
for the shoe’s name—with three separate levels of rigidity that collectively
balance cushioning and stability: The heel with medium softness, the
central part with more rigidity for lateral stability, and the forefront with
the highest level of softness for walking comfort and flexibility. Gore-Tex
100% waterproof technology helps optimize breathability and protect
the insides from wet weather. Offered in three color combinations.
