Michigan’s temperate summers and dawn-to-dusk golf make the Great Lakes State a worthy destination T he natural instinct of Mid-Atlantic golfers looking for vacation rounds is to head south. Seven or eight months out of the year, that may be the only option. However, Michigan gives players reason to head north each summer. The mystique of warm-weather golf in a land typically buried under feet of snow during the winter is a driving force all its own. But after the spring thaw, visitors to the Great Lakes State start seeing that its outdoor life is starting to draw more and more from out-of-area.
