LPGA Moves to the Forefront
The LPGA has made undeniable progress in many ways over recent years. Purses are up. The play has never been better. But one nagging problem remained— finding ways to watch the golf unfold.
For years, the LPGA has been buried in obscure Golf Channel windows. It’ s hard to sell your product when there’ s no consistent way to watch it. That changes in 2026 as the LPGA has joined forces with leading commercial property insurer FM on a multi-year agreement focused on transforming the television footprint of the Tour’ s North American events. Every LPGA Tour event and round will be presented live across the country for the first time since Golf Channel began televising the tour in 1995. Select weekend rounds will air live on CNBC.
Additionally, look for a 50 percent increase in the total number of cameras versus the 2025 season, which will enable expanded hole and shot coverage. Keep an eye out for more slow-motion cameras and microphones, drone coverage to highlight venues, and more player stories. Finally, the Tour will have the sort of media coverage its players deserve.
