Bayville Golf Club in Virginia Beach will join a short list of elite clubs to host at least three VSGA Amateur Championships when the 2026 Amateur rolls into town in June. Nine clubs are in that circle, as Bayville joins The Homestead’ s Cascades Course, The Country Club of Virginia, Princess Anne Country Club, Cedar Point Club, Farmington Country Club, Roanoke Country Club, and Boonsboro Country Club.

Not bad for a club that just turned 30 in 2025. Bayville is no stranger to hosting elite events, having been the home of the U. S. Women’ s Mid-Amateur Championship in 2011. More recently, Bayville was the site of the Captain’ s Putter Matches in 2024.
Also notable on the VSGA calendar in 2025: The VSGA Mid-Amateur Championship turns 50, and Bay Creek Golf Club and Resort in Cape Charles will play host to the special event. The Women’ s Open of Virginia returns to Independence Golf Club after one year at Farmington, and the State Open of Virginia will be played at Independence for the sixth straight year.
