nugarn’s 2018 season was
pure dominance. She jump-
started her run right here in
Virginia, winning the Kingsmill Cham-
pionship for the second time before
adding two more titles to her resume,
including the U.S. Women’s Open. She
won the Race to the CME Globe (the
LPGA Tour’s season-long points race);
finished atop the money list with $2.74
million, more than $1.2 million clear of
No. 2 Minjee Lee; and was the LPGA’s
leader in scoring average at 69.415.
