The Club at Viniterra in New Kent is an ardent supporter of the Virginia State Golf Association. Since the club opened in 2009, Viniterra has been a participating course on the VSGA VIP Golf Card and its support has helped many deserving Virginia students attend the college or university of their choice.

Since the VSGA-VIP Scholarship Foundation began awarding scholarships in 1985, more than 900 grants have been awarded to aspiring, worthy students who have an interest in golf. To date, $ 2.1 million has been bestowed to young Virginians and the VSGA salutes our more than 150 participating VSGA member clubs and all our VIP cardholders for your ongoing, invaluable support of this important program. Thank you for your generous patronage!
Home to one of the finest closing holes in Virginia, the 18th at Viniterra is a challenging par-4 that plays more than 460 yards from the tips. The demanding tee shot, played over a large lake to a tree-lined fairway with flanking bunkers, must carry a minimum of 215 yards to reach the fairway and close to 240 yards from the championship tees to achieve a more level lie and setup a favorable approach to the green.
Even after a solid drive, the second shot requires a precision strike to an elevated floating green with a major false front, three deep surrounding bunkers, and depressed chipping areas at the rear. Architect Rees Jones created an excellent putting surface on the 18th that incorporates some interesting, yet very playable slopes, with a green that allows for an almost endless variety of appealing hole locations. The 18th at The Club at Viniterra is truly a superb design and an outstanding golf hole.
Apart from its strong support of the VIP Program, Viniterra annually plays host to two extremely popular VSGA One-Day events, which this year will take place in June and August. In 2017, Viniterra will also serve as a qualifying site for the VSGA Senior Amateur
