Q SCHOOL FINALS
Jay Woodson, a three-time State Open of
Virginia champion, came four shots short
of his goal of gaining full-time status on the
Web.com Tour. He advanced to the final
stage of Q School after snagging one of the
final spots from his second-stage qualifier,
but he posted a 2-over 288 over four rounds
at PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens,
Fla. to finish in a tie for 74th. The top 45
players and ties earned full-time status on
the Web.com Tour for 2016.
The event was shortened from six rounds
to four in 2015, and Woodson got off to a slow
start, posting a first-round 73. He shot 70 in
the second round to get back into contention,
