Pat has a real heart and insight for this position in the ministry of the Church, and we very much look forward to welcoming him and his family to the Diocese of Virginia.” Wingo graduated from the University of Alabama in 1982 and from the Seminary of the Southwest in 1992. Before entering seminary, he worked in banking, equipment sales and construction. Wingo served as rector of Church of the Resurrection in Gadsden, Ala., and St. Thomas’, Birmingham, Ala. before beginning his ministry at the diocesan level.
